Hi Everyone

The morning mist is on the water so autumn is upon us. Had a lady say last week, "The summer company is gone, the kids are going back to school, it's time for me to get back to the things I love to do for ME!" So, take a look at the schedule and see what excites you. It's been a busy time for me (more about that in another email) so instead of a full FALL SCHEDULE, this is for September with others to follow. We've got a little Christmas going on to get you jumpstarted, some lovely new bracelets, and some old standard stitches to learn or brush up on.

Classes are usually Wednesday evenings, with daytime classes on Thursdays and/or Fridays (most weeks) and of course on Saturdays. If the is a class not on the schedule that you would like to take, call me and we'll see if we can arrange a small class or private on another day or evening. I'm open and flexible. So, watch the emails for updates!!

To sweeten the pot, Register by this Friday, September 1st (a milestone birthday by the way) and receive 15% off your class materials. Don't forget, the shop will be closed on Saturday, September 2nd for the long Labor Day Weekend. Have a safe and happy holiday!

See you soon and
Happy Beading,
Linda

CHRISTMAS SPIDERS: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1 PM, W/LINDA, FEE: $22.50, SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER!!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!! A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR TREE! The legend of the Christmas Spider. Many years ago, Father Christmas came into a poor man's home and found that the spiders had left webs all over the otherwise bare Christmas Tree. So, he used his Christmas magic and turned the gossamer webs to strands of silver. In the morning when the family awoke and opened the shutters and the morning light transformed the poor little tree into a dazzling spectacle. This is how "tinsel" came into being. Well, now that you know the story, shouldn't your tree have its own pretty little Christmas Spider? They are easy to make and I'll give you a printed legend to reproduce for gift giving!

LEATHER WRAP BRACELET: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1 PM, W/SUE DAIGLE, FEE:$25, SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER!!

This bracelet is STILL one of the most popular to wear among girls of all ages! Comfortable, casual and stylish! And it makes a fabulous gift! This triple wrap is a great look, just so much fun to make. Quick enough to whip up, you've got time to turn out scads for great gifts! Economical to make too! And so many bead choices! Go earthy and organic or bling it up!

ELEGANT SWAG ORNAMENT: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 10:30 AM, W/TRUDY KOPYC, FEE: $25, SKILL LEVEL: NOVICE (Some experience hand weaving recommended)

This is an absolutely stunning and elegant to any Christmas Tree! Easy, relaxing and less time consuming to make than some others we've done here. Take the time to make some memories with a beautiful holiday keepsake that will be cherished year after year!

TEXTURED TILE BRACELET: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 6 PM, W/LINDA, FEE: $22.50, SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE (Skill with hand weaving recommended)

This is a crafty little bracelet created by Deb Wear-Finkle and first offered this time last year. It's been so popular I've had several requests to reprise it. It works up fast and easy. It works up similar to a herringbone progression and is fun to make. I love the organic simplicity of the piece in Tilas and seed beads. (can also be done in Czech mate tile beads) Great for casual business or dress it up!

BASIC EARRINGS: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1 PM, W/LINDA, FEE: $22.50, SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER!!

Earrings are beadings "instant gratification". Once you know how, you can have a new piece of jewelry in under 10 minutes. There are so many possibilities when it comes to earring making. But no matter the components used, a wrapped loop is essential. Not difficult to execute, but having the proper tools and technique make it a pleasure. In this class we'll practice wrapped loops and a couple of other earring styles as time and interest allows.

CHAINMAILLE WATCH BAND: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 10:30 AM, W/MIG LEMIRE, FEE: $55, SKILL LEVEL: NOVICE (Experience with chainmaille recommended)

Nothing is more lovely than a watch chain, especially when you've made it yourself! This simple chainmaille will be easy to accomplish and the results will be stunning. Wonderful as a special gift or you can just keep it for yourself! Actual piece may vary slightly from photo.

HAMMERED COPPER CUFF AND EARRINGS: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 1 PM, W/MIG LEMIRE, FEE: $55, SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER!!

I just love copper! I also love the ability to take a plain sheet of copper or blanks (as the small formed pieces are called) and create a beautifully textured piece. In this class Mig will show you how easy it is to accomplish your own metal jewelry. Once the piece is created you will also have the option to add a patina. WARNING once you start working with metal in this way, you won't want to stop. It's just too, much fun and endless possibilities. If you are looking for a new passion, this is it!

QUEEN'S CROWN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 6 PM, W/ TRUDY KOPYC, FEE: $25, SKILL LEVEL: NOVICE (Some experience with hand weaving recommended)

WOW! This is my new favorite for holiday wear. And my "Hot Gift" for Christmas! A potpourri of the most precious beads and so satisfying to make. Register early for this. It is sure to fill fast!!

SINGLE SUPERDUO WRAP BRACELET: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 10:30 AM, W/CHERIE FRITH, FEE: $25, SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER!!

Oh, this was so popular the last time it was offered and I've heard from a few who missed it that they'd like to see it again. Colorful Super Duo beads stitch into a long wrap. Double it, triple it, it's easy as pie, and even more satisfying. Make bunches and stack them together or give them as gifts. Works up super fast! Love it!
